Modular curves, raindrops through kaleidoscopes

چکیده
Hoping for a richer supply of phenomena, we should wonder about limits of two-dimensional things (surfaces). It was convenient that all the circles in the solenoids were uniformized compatibly, that is, were compatibly expressed as quotients of R. For ease of description, we choose to look at surfaces X which are quotients of the upper half-plane H in C, with quotient mappings H→ X that fit together compatibly. [1]

un 2 00 5 A moduli approach to quadratic Q - curves realizing
For a fixed odd prime p and a representation ̺ of the absolute Galois group of Q into the projective group PGL2(Fp), we provide the twisted modular curves whose rational points supply the quadratic Q-curves of degree N prime to p that realize ̺ through the Galois action on their p-torsion modules. The modular curve to twist is either the fiber product of the modular curves X0(N) and X(p) or a cer...
متن کاملRaindrop Detection and Removal from Long Range Trajectories
In rainy scenes, visibility can be degraded by raindrops which have adhered to the windscreen or camera lens. In order to resolve this degradation, we propose a method that automatically detects and removes adherent raindrops. The idea is to use long range trajectories to discover the motion and appearance features of raindrops locally along the trajectories. These motion and appearance feature...
متن کاملAlice through Looking Glass after Looking Glass: The Mathematics of Mirrors and Kaleidoscopes
Let us imagine that Lewis Carroll stopped condensing determinants long enough to write a third Alice book called Alice Through Looking Glass After Looking Glass. The book opens with Alice in her chamber in front of several looking glasses. She enters one of them and discovers that she is in a new virtual chamber that looks almost like her own. On closer examination she discovers that she is now...
متن کاملKaleidoscopic imaging
Kaleidoscopes have a great potential in computational photography as a tool for redistributing light rays. In time-of-flight imaging the concept of the kaleidoscope is also useful when dealing with the reconstruction of the geometry that causes multiple reflections. This work is a step towards opening new possibilities for the use of mirror systems as well as towards making their use more pract...
متن کاملPixel Based Temporal Analysis Using Chromatic Property for Removing Rain from Videos
The raindrops degrade the performance of outdoor vision system, and it brings difficulties for objects detection and analysis in image sequence. In this paper, we propose an algorithm detect moving objects using chromatic based properties in rain-affected videos captured by outdoor vision systems. Thus the raindrop removal algorithm includes two parts that is removal raindrops in background and...
